Frank H. Roberts, age 85, of 1855 New York Avenue, Manitowoc, died Friday,
February 14, 1992, at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, at the First
Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Pank officiating with burial
in the Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born May 18, 1906, in Liston, Ind., son of the late Tobias and Anna
McMahon Roberts. He attended Terre Haute, Ind. High School and later attended
Business College. He married Dorothy Southard Roberts on July 31, 1937, in
Terre Haute, Ind. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1943. He later
married Madelyn Forbes on September 23, 1944, in Terre Haute, Ind. He was Vice
President and General Manager of the National Dairy Division of the Great
Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co., Manitowoc from 1933-1971.
Survivors include his wife, Madelyn G. Roberts of Manitowoc; one son, Michael A.
Roberts of Eden, N.C.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy (Wayne) Novak of
Virginia Beach, Va., and Susan Roberts of Madison, Wis.; a sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Marguerite and William Hite of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; seven
grandchildren, Steven and Jeanette Novak of Richmond, Va., Brandon and Lynn
(Novak) Ellis of Richmond, Va., Deet Novak of Virginia Beach, Va,. Jennifer and
Catherine Roberts of Thomasville, N.C., Benjamine Lishka of Madison, Wis., Chris
and Andrea Lishka of Geneva, Switzerland; three great grandchildren; many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday,
February 17, and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of service.
