Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at
First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, Vicar Dean Fleming will
officiate , and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rieck was born Nov. 7, 1881, in the Town of Meeme, Mnitowoc County, son of
the late August and Mary Schmidt Rieck. He married Clara Lutze, June 2, 1907,
at Centerville. They located in Manitowoc in 1924. He was a carpenter contractor
until retirement. He was a member of Carpenters Local No. 849. His wife preceded
him in death in 1949.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roland (Norma) Siggelkow of Manitowoc, and
Miss Esther, at home; two brothers, Albert of Newton, and Edmund of Peshtago; a
sister, Mrs. Edna Reineking of Sheboygan; two grandchildren, and five great
grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 3 to 9 p.m.
Sunday until noon Monday and then at the church until time of service.
