DONALD J. RATHSACK

Donald J. Rathack, age 70, of 1108 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning,
November 6, 2000, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2000, at the Jens
Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Pastor Paul Perkin will officiate with burial to
follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Rathsack was born January 5, 1930, in Manitowoc, son of the late Ben and Anna
Watzke Rathsack. He was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. Don was
a United States Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict, serving from October 31,
1950 until August 10, 1954. On November 17, 1956, Donald married Barbara Ann Wakley
at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. He worked for the Weyerhaeuser Company
in Manitowoc for 45 years, retiring in 1993. Donald was a member of St. Boniface
Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, Manitowoc; their four children include Charles
(Laurie) Rathsack, Two Rivers, Sharon Rathsack, Manitowoc, Ronald (JoAnn) Rathsack,
Manitowoc, Brian (Kathy) Rathsack, Manitowoc; five grandsons, Chad, Aaron, Barry,
Zachary and Tyler; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin (Veda) Rathsack, Gillett,
Wis., Joseph (Vicky) Rathsack, Manitowoc; two sisters and three brothers-in-law,
Evelyn (John) Schneider, Manitowoc, Charlotte (Melvin) Landt, Two Rivers, Joseph
Rader, Newton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was
preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marilyn Rader; and two nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2000, at the
Jens Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of
service at 11 a.m.
