RUTH A. RADL

Ruth Radl, age 92, a long time resident of Manitowoc, passed away Wednesday
morning, Nov. 7, 200 at River’s Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ruth Radl was born Aug. 24, 1909 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Orr L.
Armstrong and Anna L. (Volz) Armstrong. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy
in Milwaukee in 1927, serving as senior class president, and attended the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She married Dr. Cyril J. Radl at St. Jude’s
Catholic Church in Wauwatosa on Nov. 10, 1934. He preceded her in death on
Oct. 12, 1991.
She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the National Society of
the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a former member of the Christian
Women of Holy Innocents, the Catholic Women’s Club, the Manitowoc County Medical
Auxiliary and the Junior Service League.
She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed by her children,
grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters and two
sons-in-law, Ann Radl of Glastonbury, Conn., Joan and James von Germeten of Phoenix,
Ariz. and Susan and Thomas Rusboldt of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, Matthew Radl,
Glastonbury, Ann von Germeten, San Francisco, Lisa Von Germeten and her husband,
Ken Munro, Brisbane, Ausralia, Nicole von Germeten and her husband, Brent Ayrey,
Castro Valley, Calif., Ted Rusboldt, Seattle, Bridget Rusboldt, Chicago and Nicholas
Rusboldt of Manitowoc. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Olivia Munro,
Brisbane and Cameron Mrotek of Manitowoc. She also will be missed by three sisters-
in-law, Irene Klick, Marcella Juracek and Marie Kuhlman; a first cousin, Margaret
Mary Luke and nine other cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, with visitation
starting at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at
the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald J. Foley. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Memorials may be made to Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements
