Helen M. Pollen, age 87, a resident of Shady Lane Home, died Tuesday morning,
October 4, 1994, at the home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 7, 1994, at the First
Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev.
Richard Lind with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Helen Vetting was born May 8, 1907, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Emil and Mathilda Larson Vetting. She
married John F. Pollen on May 29, 1933, in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in
death September 5, 1966. Mrs. Pollen was a member of the first Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Gunars Eidemanis, Milwaukee; three grandchildren,
Lori Eidemanis, Appleton, John Eidemanis, Milwaukee, Debbie Malone and her
husband, Jon, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Frieda Vetting, Manitowoc; nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded
in death by a daughter, Judith Eidemanis in 1983; six brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the First Lutheran Church Chapel on Friday, from 10 a.m.
until the time of service. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
