Matthew A. Polifka Jr, 62, of 1318 S. 9th Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening,
May 26, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Private family services will be held Wednesday, May 29th 11 a.m. at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home. Father Jerry Prusakowski will preside. Burial will follow at
Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born August 18, 1928, in Manitowoc, son of the late Matt and Mary Kovarik
Polifka Sr. Mr. Polifka was employed by Mirro Corp. from January 8, 1964, until
the time of his retirement August of 1990.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Lonn
Felber, Linda Johnston, Helen and Louis Mitcheltree and Lori Polifka; three sons
and two daughters-in-law, Thomas and Sheryl Polifka, James and Thersa Polifka,
and Michael Polifka, all of Manitowoc; three brothers, Clarence, Harvey and Lester;
and nine grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor.
