ERVIN HERMAN PIECHOCKY

Ervin H. Piechocky, age 65, of 1130 S. 20th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Wednesday evening, February 5, 1997, at his residence.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 1997, at
Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. Revs. Robert Kujawski and Bruce McKenney will
officiate with burial of his cremated remains at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 14,
1997, at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military Graveside Rites will be accorded
by American Legion Drews-Bleser Post #88 of Manitowoc.
Mr. Piechocky was born December 30, 1931, in Milwaukee, son of the late Herman
and Anna Kehnki Piechocky. He was a 1950 graduate of Lincoln High School,
Manitowoc. She served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict from 1950
to 1953. On August 30, 1958, he married the former Vera R. Koch at First German
Ev. Lutheran
Church. Ervin worked for the Grey Iron Foundry and the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry
as a molder until his retirement in 1982. From 1982 until the present, Ervin was a
custodian at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. He was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran
Church, American legion Drews-Bleser Post #88, Manitowoc, and a life member of V.F.W.
Post #2485 of Angeles City, Philippines.
Survivors include his wife, Vera, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve
(Monette) Piechocky, Manila, Philippines; one daughter, Wendy Piechocky, Manitowoc;
five grandchildren, Alain and Jamie Piechocky, Tanya Meyer, Alysha and Trisha Stueck;
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Herbert and Heinz.
There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
Family and friends will gather after the services in the Family Activity Center of
Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church for a time of fellowship and luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Bethany Lutheran School, for
all the children he loved and enjoyed.
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Services, Manitowoc, is serving the family.
Sleep on, beloved, sleep, and take thy rest;
Lay down thy head upon they savior's breast;
We love thee well, but Jesus loves thee best.
