MAYME VIOLA PFEFFER (d. 1999)

Mayme V. Pfeffer, age 93, formerly of 515 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Thursday
afternoon, January 21, 1999, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Janaury 25, 1999,
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate with burial
to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born May 16, 1905, in the township of Cato, Maniotwoc County, daughter
of the late John and Louise Kuehnl Grall. Mayme grew up in Whitelaw and attended
St. Michael's grade school. She was married to Edgar J. Pfeffer October 14, 1925,
at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He preceded her in death, May 2, 1983.
Mayme and her husband moved to Manitowoc from the township of Franklin in 1951.
She is a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and a former member of the
Christian Women of Holy Innocents.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn and Leo Denor, Cato,
Elaine and Joseph Kupsh, Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Shelby
Pfeffer, Manitowoc; ten grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great
grandchildren; one step-brother, Ralph Sickinger, Milwaukee; two step-sisters,
Beatrice Kiel, Whitelaw, Lucille Fanslau, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her husband, she was preceded in
death by four brothers, Frank, John, Lawrence and Edmund Grall; 1 half sister,
Germaine Tuschl; four step-brothers, Florian, Gerhard, Martin and Ervin Sicking;
three step-sisters, Sr. Mary Bertelia, Barbara Herman and Sara Helgeson.
Relatives and friends may call at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home from 2-4
pm on Sunday and Monday at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, from 10 a.m. until the
time of service at 11 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service at 4 p.m. on Sunday,
