Larry J. Pekarske, 56, 1556 Kunzman Lane, Mosinee, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 after a long illness. Larry retired from John Muir Middle School in June of 2008 after working as a learning disabilities specialist for the past 30 years. Throughout his life, Larry's involvements included: Price County Emergency Government Director, Prentice EMT/Firefighter, Knowlton Town Chairman, Football and Wrestling Coach and DNR Safety Instructor.
Survivors, besides his wife, Nancy, include two sons, Nathan (Emily) Pekarski, Mosinee and Michael Pekarske, South Korea; a daughter, Lorrin Pekarske, Eau Claire ad three brothers, Thomas (Kathy) Pekarske and Mark (Mary Ellen) Pekarske, both of Branch and Matthew (Jeanne) Pekarskke, Randolph. He was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Pieper.
Services were held Tuesday, April 26, 2009 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church, Knowlton. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, was in charge of arrangements.
