Messages received here today from Milwaukee advised of the death of Mrs.
Richard Paine, 51, wife of a former Manitowoc resident. She had been ill
seven months following an operation February 1.
Mrs. Paine, nee Hedwig Krueger, was born in Milwaukee in 1885 and was
married to Richard Paine of this city in 1915. They made their home here
for three years during which time she was a member of the St. James society
of St. James Episcopal church. Twenty years ago they moved to Milwaukee.
Survivors are the widower, a brother, Gustave Krueger, two half-brothers and
several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Charles Zeman of this city, a sister-in-law,
has been in Milwaukee for several days.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Wendler funeral
home, 2031 West Capitol drive. From there the body will be taken to the Forst
Home crematory. Friends are asked to please omit flowers.
