VIOLET C. LUEBKE

Violet C. Luebke, age 85, of 906 S. 36th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday, Jan. 2,
2003 at her residence.
Violet was born Sept. 13, 1917 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Alma
Bathke Qualman. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc and prior to her
marriage was employed at Mirro Aluminum and Wellhoefer's Restaurant. On May 1,
1937 she married Reinhold Luebke at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Reinhold preceded her in death Nov. 6, 1972. She was a member of Bethany Evangelical
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include: a son: Robert (Barbara) Luebke, Manitowoc; seven daughters:
Shirley (James) Duckett, Manitowoc; Dona (Richard) Krieser, Manitowoc; Betty
(William) Bornemann, Green Bay; Faye Terens, Two Rivers; Kim Luebke, Manitowoc;
Sherry (Michael) Scherer, Manitowoc; Laurie Schroeder, Two Rivers, and special
friend Tim Carpenter; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and great-great-
grandchildren; one brother: George Qualman and special friend, Phyllis Linden of
Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. In addition
to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Eugene; a
grandson, a great-granddaughter, a great-grandson, a sister, two brothers and a
son-in-law: Roger Terens.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2003 at Bethany Evangelical
Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. The Revs. Robert Kujawski and Stephen
Melso will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003 at Reinbold
& Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc. Visitation will continue
on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. to the time of service at 11 a.m.
Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is serving the family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Theobald and his staff and Family Services
Lakeshore Hospice Home Health Care for the loving compassion and care giving
given to Violet.
