Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lodes was born Feb. 9, 1909, in the Town of Rantoul, Calumet County, son of the late Anthony and Magdalena Tilger Lodes. He married Mary F. Grenzer Nov. 14, 1933, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Kloten, Wis., moving to Manitowoc in 1940 to reside. Mr. Lodes had been employed as a mechanic at Hamachek's until his
retirement in 1974 and was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include his wife, a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Janice Lodes of Racine, a daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Eugne (sic) Kolarek of Manitowoc, a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Mallmann of Chilton and six grandchildren (private). A daughter, Ruth Ann, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. by relatives, friends and members of Catholic Order of Foresters.
