Mrs. Elfrieda Lockhart, 77, formerly of 844 Summitt St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 22, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Rev. Glen Siferd will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lockhart, nee Elfrieda Hoffman, was born June 23, 1904, in Germany, daughter of the late Herman and Anna Heinrich Hoffman. Mrs. Lockhart came to the United States as a young girl with her parents. She was married to Lawrence Lockhart Aug. 3, 1925, at Chicago, Ill. The couple resided in Chicago until 1939 when they moved to Manitowoc to live. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Lockhart was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and The Order of eastern Star No. 196 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Mona Lockhart of St. Charles, Ill.; a daughter, Dorothie Burchart of Kiel; a brother, Herbert Hoffman of Daggett, Mich.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Magdaline and Otto Hall of Daggett, Mich., Laydia and Alfred Ottensman of Weslaco, Texas, and Esther Yetter of Golden Gate, Fla.; three grandchildren and niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Wednesday evening and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and at the church from noon until the time of services. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be at 7:30 o'clock this Wednesday evening.
