SOPHIA LINDSTEDT

Mrs. Julius Lindstedt, 87, lifelong resident of Manitowoc County, died Tuesday
evening at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. For the past 16 years she had resided
with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Hoffman, of 1009 North 17th
St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. F. C. St. Clair will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Sophia Levenhagen in Mishicot in 1867 and in 1887 was married to
Julius Lindstedt. They located in Two Rivers a few years and then moved to
Manitowoc where her husband founded the Lindstedt-Hoffman Company, real estate
and insurance firm, with Frank Hoffman, in 1898.
Her husband died Dec. 19, 1932. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward Paulus
of Arlington Heights, Ill., Mrs. T. J. Hoffman of Manitowoc; brother, Ira
Levenhagen of Milwaukee; several grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services.
