67-Year-Old Decorator Will Be Buried Wednesday
George F. Ley, 67, lifelong resident of this city and for many years engaged
in the painting and decorating business died this morning. He had been in
failing health for several months.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Pfeffer funeral
home and at 9 a.m. from the Sacred Heart church. Interment will be at Evergreen
cemetery.
The deceased was born here in 1867 and after attending the local school took up
painting and decorating work. He never married and made his home at the Ley
homestead, 515 North Ninth street. Survivors are three brothers, Albert, Chicago,
John, Milwaukee, and William, Spokane, Wash.; and two sisters, Mrs. I. M. Hudders,
city and Mrs. M. B. Johnston, Milwaukee.
Mr. Ley was a member of the Holy Name society of the Sacred Heart congregation
which will meet at the Pfeffer funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. to recite the
Rosary. The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tuesday on.
