Thomas M. “Wheels” Lensmeyer, age 58, of 332 W. Menasha Ave., Whitelaw, entered eternal life Saturday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2007, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Douglas Dowling. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
Tom was born Feb. 21, 1949, in Manitowoc. He was the son of Clara Wacek Lensmeyer and the late Clarence Lensmeyer. Tom was a graduate of Valders High School with the class of 1967. He continued his education at the Lakeshore Technical College where he received his degree in accounting. In past years, Tom had been employed at A & J Vans in Valders. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had managed local softball teams and was a regular at the Moose Fest in Osman. Tom was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed listening to rock bands, some of which he followed locally in this area of the state.
He is survived by his mother: Clara Lensmeyer, Manitowoc; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Gary Lensmeyer, Madison, Randy and Shirley Lensmeyer, Manitowoc, Mark and Rose Lensmeyer, Whitelaw; one sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Dale Biely, Whitelaw; his best friend; Steve Sauer, Whitelaw; aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends surviving. He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence Lensmeyer; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care that was given to Tom by Dr. Yeter and Dr. Sonneland along with the nursing staff at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
