MERLE J. LEBRECK

Merle J. LeBreck, age 84, of 702 South 26th Street, Manitowoc, died Saturday
morning, January 11, 1992, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Jens Funeral Home and
10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald Reimer
with cremation to follow. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born February 28, 1907 in Marinette, Wis., son of the late Marcellin and
Emma LeBreck. He owned and operated the LeBreck Insurance Agency for 26 years,
retiring in 1976. He married the former Cherry Branston on February 28, 1931 in
Milwaukee, Wis. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was a past
national president of Traveler's Protection Association in 1966 and 1967. He was
past president of the Holy Name Society of St. Paul's Catholic Church. He was a
life member of the Manitowoc Elk's Lodge NO. 687. Mr. LeBreck was also a member
of the Manitowoc Eagle's Club. HE was the first president of the charter club of
the Manitowoc Optimists. He was a member of the Serra Club, Knights of Columbus
and was an assistant boy scout leader for many years.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, John and Janet LeBreck of
Manitowoc, Robert LeBreck of Milwaukee; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Terry
LeBreck of Milwaukee, Barbara and Robert Mendillo of Cedarburg, Wis. Mary and Ernie
Scorelle of Ft. Myers, Fla., Catherine LeBreck of Manitowoc; one brother and sister-
in-law, Robert and LaVerne LeBreck of Eagle River, WIs.; one sister and two
brothers-in-law, Madelyn and Floyd Razner of Milwaukee and Adrian Malveg of Milwaukee;
17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Cherry, in 1991; one brother, one sister, and one grandson, Anthony LeBreck.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday
evening when a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to
the St. Paul's Catholic Church and the North End Hospice.
