Joan K. Last, 70, of 1410 Johnston Drive, Manitowoc, went to her eternal reward
Monday morning, February 26, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding the Mass of Christian
Burial will be Rev. Leo J. Schmitt with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born December 14, 1919, in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, daughter of the
late Albert J. and Rose Jarr Krumdick Jr. She married Hamlin R. Last on July 5,
1941, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs. Last attended Manitowoc
School Systems and was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School with the Class
of 1938. The couple farmed in the Grimms, Whitelaw area form 1947 until 1969
after which time she began employment as a Sales Clerk for Schuettes Department
Store of Manitowoc for the past 21 years.
Survivors include her husband, Hamlin R. Last of Manitowoc; two sons and daughters-
in-law, Hamlin D. and Nancy Last of Winneconne, John L. and Debbie Last of Winneconne;
four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lana and Dennis Brunner of Manitowoc, Marcia
and Gregory Ryan of Sheboygan, Sheree and James Zellner of Oshkosh, Renee Hooper of
Littleton, Colorado; a brother, Mark Krumdick of Wauwatosa; five sisters and three
brothers-in-law, Charity and John Strobl of Wauwatosa, Dolores and Philip Meisterheim
of Indialantic, Florida, Rosemary and Leo Rabin of Chicago, Grace Mann of Beverly
Hills, California, Eva Hadley of Madison, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; nieces, nephews
and other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers,
John and Paul Krumdick.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Prayer Service
will be held at 8:30 p.m. led by Deacon Donald Gigure.
