HERMAN LANGE, PIONEER, DIES
Funeral Services Are Planned For Wednesday Afternoon
Herman John Lange, 84, pioneer resident of the city and county, died Sunday
night at the home of his son, August, Route 2, Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Frazier mortuary
and at 2 p.m. from the St. John's Evangelical church, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Lange was born in Germany in 1955. When a child his parents immigrated to
this country, locating at Denmark. In 1882 he married Miss Margaret Meyer and
in 1891 they moved to this city. Mr. Lange became an elevator operator for the
Aluminum Goods company for 26 years.
Mrs. Lange died in 1899. The following year he married Miss Johanna Bunsheck.
She died in 1926.
Since May, 1935, Mr. Lange has resided with his son, August. He was a member of
the St. John's Evangelical church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Brandenburg, Milwaukee, Miss Bernhardine
Lange, Chicago; a step-daughter, Mrs. Leonard Breitwisch, city; a son, August,
Route 2, Two Rivers; two step-sons, Arthur Geerds and Walter Bunsheck, both of
this city; a sister, Mrs. Anna Rathke, Milwajkee; and four step-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the Frazier mortuary.
