Mrs. August (Amanda) Lange, 87, of 2010 S. 9th St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 29, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Lange was born Oct. 12, 1895, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Boldt Erdmann. She was a lifelong resident of Manitowoc. She was married to August Lange, June 11, 1923, at Manitowoc. Mrs. Lange was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and a former member of the Ladies Guild of the church.
Survivors include her husband, August; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Elisabeth Lange of Manitowoc; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Walter and Edna Erdmann, and Elmer Erdmann of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Alma Walker of Manitowoc; a grandson, Brian Lange; two great grandchildren, Jason and Brody, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, and at the church from noon until the time of services.
