Carolyn M. Ladwig, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005 at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Carolyn was born April 4, 1924, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late George W. and Agatha (Kraemer) Ladwig. She was educated in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942. Carolyn was employed at Mirro Aluminum for 40 years retiring in 1982. During World War II she volunteered as a nurses' aide at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. Carolyn enjoyed music, bowling, bingo, traveling and cooking. Survivors include a brother: Clarence M. Ladwig, Manitowoc; a sister: Olive Thomas, Wileyville, W. Va.; four nieces: Judy Ladwig, Manitowoc; Sue Jones, Georgia; Shirley (Burl) Richmond, New Martinsville, W. Va.; Bonnie Dokey, Manitowoc; six nephews: Richard Ladwig, Fla.; Robert, Richard, Roger and Jeffrey Jones, Georgia; Jack Thomas, New Martinsville, W. Va.; special friend: Marjorie Zalewski, Manitowoc; great-nephews, great-nieces, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Ardelle Jones and Dorothy Ladwig; two brothers: Earl Ladwig and Milton Ladwig; and two sisters-in-law: Elaine Ladwig and Evelyn Ladwig. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon William Klein will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to the Angel Association at the Manitowoc Health Care Center would be appreciated.
