Mrs. Lade, 59, nee Rose Schmidt, died Thursday evening at 10:45 at the home,
1202 Green street, after suffering a heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Lade had retired and about 10:45 Mr. Lade arose again to check
the furnace. Mrs. Lade arose also, and when her husband was returning to the
bedroom he heard her fall. She was dead when he found her.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the St. John’s Evangelical
church, the Rev. Paul Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer funeral home from Saturday
at 7 p.m. until Monday at 10 a.m. when it will be removed to the church to lie
in state there until the hour of the funeral.
Mrs. Lade was born on January 7, 1880 at Colby. She was married to Mr. Lade on
March 12, 1899.
Survivors are the widower, one son, Edwin Lade of Manitowoc, two grandchildren,
two brothers, Arthur and Walter Schmidt of this city, and six sisters, Mrs.
Frank Drumm, Mrs. Walter Flint, Mrs. Frank LaGesse and Mrs. Leo Brandt of this
city, Mrs. Walter Behrens of Kohler and Mrs. Charles Toushak of Escanabe.
