EDWIN R. LADE

Edwin R. Lade, 67, of 1223 Grand Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lade was born Aug. 24, 1903, at Manitowoc, son of the late Richard and Rose
Schmidt Lade. He married Rose Bortsky Aug. 2, 1922, at Two Rivers. His wife
preceded him in death July 29, 1951. Mr. Lade was a commercial fisherman on Lake
Michigan for 50 years. He also owned and operated Lade’s Fish market at Manitowoc.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 706 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two sons and two grandchildren. (Survivors edited for privacy)
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The casket will be moved to church Thursday at 11:30 a.m. to lie in state until
the time of services.
