RETIRED LAKES SAILOR DIES
Charles Koehler, 68, Is To Be Buried On Thursday
Charles Koehler, 68, of 1235 South 13th street, died early this morning. Funeral
services will be held at the Pfeffer funeral home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 with
the Rev. O. A. Menke officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased was born February 6, 1867 in Saxony, Germany. At the age of 16 he
came to the United States and spent the greater part of his life living in
Manitowoc county. He was a sailor and later was employed by the Goodrich company
as a night watchman. In 1893 he married Ida Hellmuth who survives with 4 children,
Mrs. Frank Hasheck, Mrs. Hattie Grade, Mrs. Fred Wegner, of Two Rivers, and Mrs.
Arthur Luchterhand, city. Five grandchildren also survive.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from tomorrow on.
