Ervin W. Holtz, age 89, of 1523 16th St., Two Rivers, died Saturday, March 11, 1995, at North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.Funeral Services will b eheld at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate with interment at Evergreen Cemetery.Ervin was born November 9, 1905, in the town of Two Rivers, son of the late John and Anna Oestreich Holtz. He was educated in the town of Two Rivers Schools. Prior to his retirement in 1970, he was employed as a malster at Rahr Malting and later at Anheiser-Busch Company for 37 years. Ervin married Lucille W. Sachse August 11, 1928, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. They celebrated 66 years of marriage together. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, and an active member at the Two Rivers Senior Citizens. Ervin enjoyed gardening and was an avid card player.Survivors include his wife, Lucille Holtz, Two Rivers; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Lynne Holtz, North Bend Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Howarld Puls, Two Rivers; grandchildren include Patrick and Barbara Holtz, Jacksonville, Ore., Dawn and Robert Jordan, Garden Grove, Calif., Cindy Holtz and Amy Holtz, Garden Grove, Calif., Laura and Rod Redman; five great-grandsons; a brother and sister-in-law, Reuben and Irene Holtz, Milwaukee; three sisters, his twin sister, Erna Hoeffner, Manitowoc, Helen Snyder, Manitowoc, Elsie Musil, Baraboo, Wis.; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Murray and Laura Sachse, Two Rivers, Fred Sachse, Manitowoc, Vincent and Anna Sachse, DeForest, Wis., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerhardt, Eugene and Norman Holtz; two sisters, Nora Haese and Ann Skarda; and a daughter-in-law, Grace Holtz.Friends may call at the Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and at the Immanuel Ev.
