Mrs. Jessie C. Heise, 90, died Wednesday, December 7, 1988, at Central Park
Lodge Nursing Home, Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at st. James Episcopal Church. Rev.
David Klutterman will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Heise was born February 13, 1988, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank
and Mary Yanda Smejkal. She married Erwin Heise on April 15, 1918, at Waukegan,
Illinois. He preceded her in death in September of 1962. Mrs. Heise was a member
of St. James Episocpal Church, life member of the Saint Faith Guild of the church
and a member of Order of Eastern Star Number 196.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Lincoln Klement of
Florida; a brother, James Smejkal of Two Rivers; three sisters, Violet Tegen of
Independence, Iowa, Emma Dethlefsen of Manitowoc, and Irene Karbon of West Union,
Iowa; two grandchildren, Scott Klement and Jane Conway. She was preceded in death
by a son, Paul, and a brother.
