Miss Constance G. Espeseth at 854 N. 15th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 3, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard E. Lind will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Miss Espeseth was born at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Rev. O.K. and Anna Olson Espeseth. She was graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, in 1925. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh, graduating in 1931 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. Miss Espeseth did graduate study work at University of Colorado in Boulder and University of Wisconsin-Madison, and taught 40 years in Manitowoc at McKinley Elementary School, retiring in 1975.
She was a chairperson in curriculum of the Fourth Grade Teachers of the State of Wisconsin, past president of the Manitowoc Education Association, member of the Manitowoc Retired Teachers Association, member of First Lutheran Church, and also a member of the Altar Guild of the church.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Alphile Larson of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Irene and Theodor A. Winkel of Ludington, Mich.; a nephew, Theodor E. Winkel of Ludington; a grandniece, Erika, and a grandnephew, Bradley.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to First Lutheran Church.
