"Mrs. Rilda Middleton, 89, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Weingart, Western Reserve Road, Goshen township, following several years illness. Born in Ellsworth township, March 13, 1866, she was a daughter of Allen and Elizabeth Stallsmith, and her entire life was spent in the locality. In 1892 she was married to Charles Middleton. He preceded her in death in 1936. Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Weingart; a son, Paul of Frazeysburg; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Homer Greenamyer of Salem R. D. 4; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and 38 step-great-grandchildren."
