Mr. Rowsey was born December 27, 1924, in Gibson, Montana, to William Cecil Rowsey and Ada Leona Peak Rowsey. He served in the Army during World War II as a tank driver in Company C, 712th Tank Battalion.

Mr. Rowsey received the European Service Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, American Theater Service Medal, Gold Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.

He lived and worked in Montana, Washington and Alaska and homesteaded in the Knik area. He worked as a plumber, retiring in January 1982.

Mr. Rowsey enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and visiting with friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evaline, in 1994; brothers, Lyle, Henry, Glenn and Hubert; sister, Ada Lee Koenig; and stepdaughter, Barbara Doyle.

He is survived by his stepson, Kenneth Nolan of Kennewick, Washington; sister, Millie Wolff of Port Orchard, Washington; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rowsey of Butte, Montana; brother-in-law, William Koenig of Bremerton, Washington; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Montana, Washington and Alaska.

Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home.
