ST. GEORGE, UT - Laura Young Blair passed away June 21, 2001 in St. George, Utah of complications following surgery.
She was born in Park City, UT July 30, 1912, daughter of Brigham David Young and Sarah Susanna McMullin. She married Stirling Blair Aug 2, 1934. He preceded her in death as did three sisters, one brother, and her parents. Laura and Stirling moved to St. George at the time of his retirement in 1978. She was active in the LDS Church, 3rd Ward, St. George West Stake.
She is survived by nieces, Shirley (Charles) Maughan, Phyllis Kohler, Marjorie (Hal) Himes; and nephews, Bill Sykes, Kenneth Buck.
A viewing will be in St. George Sun. June 24, 6-8 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 300 W. St. George Blvd, 435-673-4221; and in Salt Lake City Tues. June 26, 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to graveside services, 11 a.m. Both at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 S. (801)943-0831.
