Frank Willis Kennedy, Sr. was born on his family's farm southeast of Clay Center. He attend Upper Lincoln Grade School and Clay County Community High School, graduating as a Ag major in 1936. After high school, Frank worked at the Swift Company in Denver, Colorado. He returned to Clay Center and took over the family dairy farm shortly after his father passed in 1943. In 1947, he married Olive Gladys Sandberg and together they had five children, along with Olive's girl from a previous marriage.
Frank subsequently moved to the Neosho area to run his dairy farm. He had an award-winning herd of milk cows, and was a man who loved animals and children.
Frank was a 32nd degree Mason, a devoted Christian, and loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle. Frank passed away at the age of 76 and was survived by his wife, two sisters, and four of his six children.
