STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Native Staten Islander Judy Blake, 48, a homemaker,died Friday in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton.
Born Judy Downe, she was a lifelong resident of Westerleigh.
A homemaker, Mrs. Blake worked as volunteer regent for the Loyal Order of the Moose, Port Richmond.
Mrs. Blake graduated from Susan Wagner High School and attended the College of Staten Island, Willowbrook.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Robert, to Atlantic City, and caring for her four Chihuahuas. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas and she enjoyed shopping for presents, said her family.
She was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, West Brighton.
"She was a great mother who loved spoiling her children. And she was very proud of the fact I was a veteran, and of my brother, who graduated with a degree in finance," said her son, Raymond.
Along with her son, Raymond, and her husband Robert, also surviving are two more sons, Robert and Rory; her mother, Barbara Downe, and two brothers, John and David Downe.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Harmon Home for Funerals, West Brighton, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
