Millie Vaughn Wright has left this earth in the arms of God, August 3, 2012 to be reunited with her daughter Brenda Pierce, and many other loved ones, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born December 1, 1924 in Ada, OK, the sixth child of 12. She moved to Mesa, AZ in 1936 where she resided until 1994, then to Henderson, NV for 14 years. Four years ago she moved to Harrisville, UT, where she will be laid to rest.
She was a very wise woman with a wonderful sense of humor and shared her infinite wisdom and laughter with us all. She loved sewing, quilting, gardening and fishing and teaching.
She is survived by 5 daughters, Linda (LeeRoy) Ford, Harrisville, UT: Taleitha Setterberg, Ogden, UT; Pamela Chavanne-Lewis, Henderson, CO; Jackie Anderson, Layton, UT and Debbie Wright, Showlow, AZ; son-in-law Stanley Pierce, Henderson, NV; and a son, Ron (Deb) Wright, Newport Richey, FL; 26 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Donnelly, Rockledge, FL and Maxine Shipwash, Mesa, AZ; many nieces; nephews and extended family, Frank and Jane Erwin.
Our family would like to say "Thank You" to Shasta, her RN, and Nikki her Aide, for the kind and loving care they gave, not only to Millie, but to all of us.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
Services will be on August 8, 2012 at 12 Noon at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 6545 Combe Road, Ogden, UT with a luncheon to follow.
