Charles H. Bliss, 68, retired Red Hook farmer, who had been ill for some time at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Boice, Red Hook, died Monday night. Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. George P. Hipsley, minister of the Red Hook Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in the Upper Red Hook Cemetery.
Born in Waterford, Pa., Mr. Bliss went to Red Hook in 1910 and shortly after purchased the farm of Orlando P. Doyle which he operated until 1927 when his health failed and he retired.
Surviving in addition to his daughter, Mrs. Boice, are another daughter, Mrs. George Woolsley, of Madalin; a sister, Mrs. William McKay, of Waterford, Pa.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
