Bonnie Webber died August 8, 2012, at Community Hospice in Hughson, California, after a spirited seven-year battle with multiple cancers. She leaves a loving family and many friends who will remember her for her strength, loyalty, intelligence, generosity and her outspoken passion for conservative politics.

Bonnie Grace Kandarian was born July 14, 1939, in Fowler, California, to Lazarus and Roxie Kandarian. She was the youngest of three girls and grew up on the family's vineyard.

Bonnie attended Iowa Grammar School, a three-room country schoolhouse, and graduated from Fowler High School in 1957, just months after her mother's untimely death from kidney failure.

Bonnie attended San Jose Bible College in San Jose, California, for one year before beginning a ten year career as a bookkeeper and office manager, skills she would use again in the medical practice of her husband, Dr. Harry Webber. She and Harry were married October 12, 1967. After their marriage, she moved from San Jose to Modesto, where Harry lived and had his medical practice.

Bonnie had a great zest for life and embraced new experiences and interests. With Harry, she snow-skied, water-skied, hiked and backpacked. While their favorite place to snow ski was Colorado, they enjoyed traveling together and fondly recalled skiing in many European locales including Val d'Isère, France, and St. Moritz, Switzerland. They also visited Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. A favorite trip for Bonnie was to Armenia to explore her Armenian heritage.

An avid tennis player, Bonnie was disappointed when her health would no longer allow her to play tennis. She made many lifelong friends playing tennis at the Modesto SOS Club and the Modesto Racquet Club, where she and Harry were members.

Bonnie was a talented cook and hostess. One of her favorite longtime traditions was hosting annual Thanksgiving gatherings for their large extended family. Many friends will never forget her heavenly fruit pies, peach ice cream and her delicious fruit jams and jellies.

Bonnie and Harry also enjoyed collecting classic cars. They belonged to the Modesto Area A's Model A Club and the Classic T-Bird Club. She was proud to be the first woman president of the Model A Club.

One hobby Bonnie wished she had discovered earlier was stained glass. She enjoyed creating stained glass artwork and her beautiful pieces grace the homes of many friends and relatives.

Bonnie was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in 1974, the same year her father passed away. After her cancer went into remission, she enjoyed three decades of good health. She always counted those years as a gift. After cancer returned in 2005, she battled with uncommon strength, inspiring those who walked with her through this last season of her life on earth.

Bonnie was a member of Grace Community Christian Church in Ceres, California and greatly appreciated the love and support of her church community.

Bonnie leaves her husband, Harry, of forty-four years; her sisters and their husbands, Lazetta and Matt Korpela, of Fowler, and Jeanette and Glen Comstock, of San Jose; and, her dear friend and caregiver, Marianne Adams, of Modesto; three daughters, Cherie (and Arnie) Gamboa, of Anaheim Hills, Linda (and Wes) Wittrup, of Roseville, and Jeanie Adair, of Turlock; two grandchildren, Clayton and Whitney Adair, of Turlock; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

A visitation is planned for Tuesday, August 14, from 4 to 8 pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto.

A funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 15, at 10 am at Grace Community Christian Church, 3754 East Service Road, Ceres, with Pastor Steve LaFarge officiating.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
