Dixie Mae Geanenn Hayes, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hayes, East Twelfth street, Picher, died at 2:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the family home as a result of diphtheria.

Besides the parents, she is survived by two brothers, Edgar and Bennie Hayes at home, and two half-brothers, Shade and Wayne Cooper of Picher.

Private funeral services were conducted this afternoon at the residence. Burial was in G.A.R. cemetery at Miami under direction of the Durnil Funeral Home.
