Martha Ann Slappey, age 82, of Conyers, died October 2, 2016. Martha loved watching hummingbirds and had a great love for plants, especially Angel Trumpet flowers. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she will be remembered for her generosity, always going out of her way to help people, frequently doing so anonymously.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Slappey; parents, F.B. and Nellie Mae Bagwell; sister, Betty Wells; brothers, Buddy Bagwell, Gene Bagwell, Jerry Bagwell, and John Bagwell. Surviving are her daughters, Christy Aevaliotis and her husband, Jim, of Conyers and Sharon Henrickson and her husband, Tim, of Rutledge; brother, Raymond Bagwell and his wife, Margaret, of Covington; grandchildren, Brook Whitten and her husband, Deke, of Social Circle, Chasity Domingue and her husband, Tim, of Rutledge, Justin Hudgins and his wife, Amanda, of Monticello, and Jesse Hudgins and his wife, Michele, of Covington; great grandchildren, Alan Whitten, Davey Whitten, and Danica Whitten, all of Social Circle, Kaley Domingue and Parker Domingue, both of Rutledge, Hunter Hudgins and Payton Hudgins, both of Monticello, and Jacob Hudgins of Covington; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, October 5, at Hillandale Memorial Park, Lithonia with Pastor Audie Wells officiating.
