Dearest Father thou hast left us,
And thy loss we deeply feel
But 'tis God that hast bereft us
He can all our sorrow heal.
Yet again we hope to meet thee
When this fleeting life is o'er
Then in heaven we hope to meet thee
Where no farewell tear are shed.
