She was born September 7, 1912 at Hanston, Kansas the daughter of Emil and Anna Dimmer Ney. A Colorado Springs resident since 2000 moving from Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, she was a homemaker and a seamstress and also worked as a nurses aid at St. Joseph of the Plains, Cheyenne Wells. She loved taking pictures and compiling photo albums and enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking. She worked with her husband building and finishing fine cabinetry and always had a positive attitude and enjoyed good health.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Colorado Springs.
On June 26, 1934 she married Bernard A. Landry at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hanston. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1995.
Survivors include: 5 children, Francis Landry and wife Geri, Colby, Kansas, Rose Reinert and husband Ron, Dodge City, Theresa Robertson and husband Glen, Colorado Springs, Michael Landry and wife Linda, Colorado Springs and Steven Landry and wife Julie, Gunnison, Colorado; a sister, Lucille Jarus and husband Dr. E.C., Ellsworth; a brother-in-law, Fred Isenbart, Alva, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Leo Landry, 2 sisters, Marie Isenbart and Christian Ney, a brother, Joe Ney, a grandson, Christopher Landry and a granddaughter, Mary Landry.
Vigil Service will be 7:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Hanston, with Fr. Maurice Cummings presiding. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Hanston.
