Shadrach Nelson West was the son of William Nelson West and Alsey Rogers.

Wilson West 1826-1900, Benjamin Franklin West 1830-1925, Andrew Jackson West 1832-1863, James Nelson West 1833-1863, William Jasper West 1836-1911, Sarah Ann West Davis 1839-1923, Alefair West Gibson Mitchell 1842-1914, Newton West 1843-, Robert J. West 1845-, Alsey West Cole 1847-, Mary Jane Rogers 1850-1938.

Additional burial info: Karen West Scott states in her "Genealogy and Family History of the William Nelson West Family" that it is believed that Shadrach was buried in Robinson Cemetery near Nocona, Montague Co TX. Both Shadrach and Penelope are listed in the Robinson Cemetery in the Montague Co., TX Cemetery survey book by Loftin and Loftin which lists both of them in Robinson Cemetery. Sam West who wrote his book on the West Family in 1955 has written two letters stating that he had been to Shadrach's grave and had picked a rose from a bush at his gravesite in 1901. With info, if is very likely that Robinson Cemetery is the correct burial site.
