Geoffrey Michael "Mike" Craig, 67, of Fremont, died Aug. 7, 2012, in Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs.

Mike was born March 12, 1945, in Fremont, to Roy L. and M. Louise (Young) Craig. He graduated from Green Springs High School in 1963 and retired in 2005 from Whirlpool Corp.

Mr. Craig was an U.S. Navy Seabee veteran, having served two tours in Viet Nam receiving two Bronze Stars.

He enjoyed attending SCRAP events and restoring farm machinery as well as his visits to Las Vegas and other casinos. Mike was a member of VFW in Fremont; Green Springs American Legion and the Eagles.

Mike is survived by his mother Louise, in Green Springs; siblings, Marcia (Jon) Abbott, of Tiffin, Ohio, Linda (Tom) Dickman, of Fremont, Frederick (Chris) Craig, of Fremont, and Lou Anne Craig, of Castalia; four nieces and seven nephews; and his former wife Carolyn (Askins) Craig, of Green Springs.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother John J. "Tuna" Craig in 2011.

It was Mike's wish to donate his body to science.
A family and military service will take place at a later date at Green Springs Cemetery.
