Mr. Bayne was born in Liberty, December 14, 1903, a son of Charles H. and Ida Taylor Bayne. He was married to Thelma Sykes August 1,1923,in Burlington, North Carolina. He retired in 1966 as a fixer at Crown Hosiery Mill. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of the home; three sons, Howard Bayne of Atlanta, Ga., Robert(Bobby) C. Bayne of Dalton, Ga., and Jimmy Bayne of Rolling Rd.; two daughters, Mrs. J.Herbert(Marie) Blair of Ferndale Dr., and Mrs. Durant (Patsy) Whaley of Boone; one brother, R.E. Bayne of Greensboro; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral will be held in the Harold C. Davis Funeral Home, Friday at 2 pm by the Rev. Larry wilkinson and Rev. H.R. Ashmore. Burial will be in the Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
