Karla Jeanne McCoy entered into this world on December 4, 1952 in Los Angeles, California the first born of Glenn E. Jones and Sondra L. Lohman. She passed away August 2, 2012 at Hillcrest Care Center in Wray, Co from cancer. Her mother and stepfather moved her to Eckley, CO in 1966. She enjoyed riding horses around town and with her friends. Graduating from Yuma High School in 1971, Karla moved to New Castle, IN to work for her father at Jones TV and appliance store.

Karla developed into a professional country singer in her late twenties. She sang with several different bands, won singing contests, beauty pageants and talent contests. She sang at clubs, rodeos, Eckley Old Settlers, Burlington Old Town, Rockin Robins in McCook, and the Arizona state fair to name a few. Also in her late twenties to early thirties Karla was a model and taught modeling and life skills for Barbeson School of Modeling. She also modeled for some well recognized designers and product names.

Some of Karla's other favorite hobbies included spending time with her children and grandchildren, tennis, gardening, flowers, dancing, fishing, traveling, and her most favorite past time was spending time in beautiful Estes Park, CO. Karla always loved the outdoors and Estes Park was a perfect place to camp, hike, fish, and just enjoy the scenery of the amazing Rocky Mountains. But most importantly Karla loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and husband, Tony.

Karla always found time for humor and practical jokes. This trait can be found in all of her four children, Robert, Steve, Jeana, and Derek. The family has always used humor as a way to deal with tough situations and as just a way to always have fun.

Loving, laughing, caring, smiling, dreaming, and sometimes acting just a little bit wild and crazy! This is how Karla lived her life!

Karla was proceeded in passing by her beautiful mother Sondra Lohman.

She is survived by husband Tony Weber, Eckley CO; father Glenn E. Jones, Indiana; son Robert Smith, wife Jaimi Smith and grandchildren Ethan and Eli, Fort Wayne, Indiana; son Steve Smith, Haxtun CO; daughter Jeana Probasco, with grandchildren Abby and Alex Otis, CO; son Derek Martindale with grandchild Chase. Also her sisters Karen Paul and children, Eckley, CO; Brenda Williams and children, Eckley, CO; Shara and husband Kirk Berghuis and children, Wray, CO; Anna Castor and children, Eckley, CO; and brother David Capps and children, Eckley, CO.

The funeral service was held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Life Fellowship in Eckley, Colorado with Pastor Glen Kline officiating. The interment followed at the Eckley Cemetery in Eckley, Colorado. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
