Mrs. Elizabeth Plato, 81, lifelong resident of Amherst, died yesterday at Lorain Community Hospital after she was stricken in her home, 874 Cleveland Ave.
Mrs. Plato was a member of St. peter's United Church of Christ. Her husband Herman A. died in December 1944.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Leana Hambly, Amherst; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A son Robert Lau died in 1944 wile serving with the U.S. Air Force and a sister, Christina Hacke, died in 1955.
Visitation will be private today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst where a private service will be conducted tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert A. Happel will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
The family has requested memorial contributions be to the memorial fund of St. Peters United Church of Christ.
