Amherst David E. Ryan, age 45, of Amherst, passed away due to natural causes Friday, October 1, 2010. He was born in Elyria on June 11, 1965. David worked as a Security Officer at the Lorain County Joint Vocational School for 3 years. he also belonged to the Sons of the American Legion in Amherst. He is survived by his father, Charles D. Ryan of Amherst; sister, Kathy Gaudinier (Jay) of Amherst; brother, Michael Ryan (Cheryl) of Elyria; and aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce A. Ryan (nee Dudley); brother, Donald E. Ryan; paternal grandparents, Earl and Merle Ryan of IA.; and maternal grandparents, Mel and Eva Olmstead. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Monday, October 4 at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., in Elyria, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 5 at 11:00 AM Rev. Dan Reinke will officiate. Internment will take place at Crownhill Cemetery in Amherst. Memorial contributions can be sent to New Life Hospice, 525 N. Abbe Rd., Elyria OH 44035.
