A lifetime resident of Amherst, he graduated from Marion L. Steel High School with the class of 1983. He attended the Amherst Congregational United Church of Christ. Jimmie was passionate about sports especially Cleveland football, basketball and baseball. He enjoyed watching wrestling, both ECW and WWE. He loved to play poker and bowl with his close family and friends. He served as scorekeeper with the Hot Stove Leagues for baseball, which he played at Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst, and also worked the concession stand and umpired for the Trinity Evangelical Free Church softball teams. He loved being around people but especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephew and attending family gatherings.
