Funeral services for Sherri Rene (Wind) Ashlock, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Delaware Missionary Baptist Church in Sand Springs, OK. Reverend Eddie Baugher officiated and burial was in Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, OK. Casket bearers were Larry Ashlock, David Ashlock, Johnny Ashlock, Harold Wind, Raymond Parsons and Charlie Parsons. Honorary casket bearers were Josh Ashlock, Jordan Ashlock, Ryker Ashlock, Braden Ashlock, Bryce Ashlock and Andru McDaniel.
Sherri was born September 4, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to Paul and Hazel (Eyman) Wind. She passed away August 8, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 69.
Sherri was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Sherri especially enjoyed going to the lake, camping and fishing. She was a member of Mullett Brothers/Ashlock Racing and loved to show off her customized golf cart.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Ashlock of Sand Springs; children, Larry Ashlock of Sand Springs, David Ashlock and wife Angie of Sand Springs, and Johnny Ashlock and Tori of Sand Springs; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Wind and wife Mary of Golden, CO; sister, Ginger Wind of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hazel Wind; and brother, Andy Wind.
