Lawrence "Larry" Baker, age 80 of Rogers and formerly of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 in Rogers.

Larry was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 2, 1932 to Lawrence Elmo Sr. and Eva (Plotner) Baker.

Larry served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and received an honorable discharge. Larry really enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved his dog Sassy.

Preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Baker in 2010; his parents and one step-son, Ronald D. Graves;

Larry is survived by two stepdaughters, Nancy C. Hankins and husband Bill of Rogers; Kelly Fryrear and husband Curtis of Searcy, Arkansas; one step-daughter-in-law, Deborah Graves of Rogers; one brother, Eddie Baker and wife Diane of Nevada; three sisters, Louella Gaston and husband Bill of Utah; Ruby Jones of California; Phyllis Cupp and husband Orman of New Mexico; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery (700 Government Ave.) in Fayetteville, Arkansas with Navy honors.
