Mr. Willie A. Hale, age 86 of Pensacola, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2006.

He was born October 25, 1919 in Bay Minette, AL to the late Arthur and Carrie Hale. He confessed Christ at an early age and was educated in the Bay Minette school system. Mr. Hale moved to Pensacola, where he met and married the love of his life, the late Janie Lee Smith Hale. To this union, five children were born. He was employed by Reichold Chemical Company, where he retired after 30 years of dedicated service. During his spare time, he was an avid fisherman who was often recognized throughout the community for catching the "big ones".

One son, Jimmy Hale; three brothers; and one sister preceded him in death.

Those remaining to cherish his memory and carry his legacy are four sons, Willie (Winnie) Boykins of Pittsburgh, PA, and Arthur J. Hale, Terry (Lynette) Hale and Timothy Hale, all of Pensacola; three daughters, Carrie (Kenneth) Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Clauzell (Horace) Farrow and and Tracy Bonner, both of Pensacola; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; two brothers-in-law, Clarence Smith and Willie James (Ola Lee) Dean, both of Pensacola; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Englewood Baptist Church with Larry C. Watson, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.

Viewing will be held prior to the funeral services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
