Noah served as a Private, Company H, 3rd Delaware Infantry during the Civil War.

He was captured by the Confederate soldiers at Weldon Railroad and was sent to the Salisbury Confederate Prison Camp, North Carolina where he "Died Of Disease" during the war.

Noah, more than likely, is also interred there in an unmarked grave.
